Questions people ask
Isn't this just ChatGPT with extra steps?
ChatGPT will give your child the answer, which is why their homework stops teaching them anything. StudyM8 marks their working, finds the specific step they don't have, and then makes them practise it. The answer is available, but it costs an attempt, and the attempt is the useful part.
Will it help them cheat?
It's designed against that. Teachers can usually tell, and a student who hands in answers they can't reproduce fails the test that matters. Parents and tutors can also set an account to guide-only, where the full solution is never shown. Students can't turn that back off.
Which exam boards does it cover?
Edexcel, AQA and OCR, at both Foundation and Higher tier, mapped to the published specifications. Year 7 to Year 11.
What if it gets the maths wrong?
Every generated worked example is independently solved and compared before anyone sees it, and anything that fails is rebuilt rather than shown. A qualified maths teacher reviews content weekly. It's still AI and it can still be wrong, which is why it always shows its working.
Does my child need a phone for this?
No. It runs in a browser on a phone, tablet, laptop or a school computer. Photos of homework can be taken with a phone camera or uploaded as a file.
Can I cancel?
Any time, and an annual plan is refunded pro rata. If you're on the free launch month we'll email you three days before the first charge, not after it.
